Eyelid Lift / Cosmetic
As we age, it’s difficult to ignore the signs of aging that you see in the mirror, including droopy eyelids, wrinkles around your eyes or lips, age spots, and perhaps some sagging skin. The cosmetic team at Florida Eye Associates specializes in the reconstruction and management of complex oculoplastic conditions and reconstructive surgery around the eyes, including Blepharoplasty and cosmetic injections.
Reverse the sign of aging by temporarily removing lines, soft folds and wrinkles on the face, with non-surgical cosmetic injections–a series of tiny injections under the skin’s surface. The amount of injectable fillers administered depends on the depth and size of the skin defect, fold or wrinkle. The results are usually temporary, often lasting from a few months to about a year, and may require additional treatment sessions. Common fillers include:
- Botox®: a prescription medicine that is injected into muscles and used to temporarily improve the look of both moderate to severe crow’s feet lines and frown lines between the eyebrows in adults.
- Juvederm®: an injectable gel that is a naturally-occurring substance in the skin, which contributes to volume and hydration. Juvederm is designed to temporarily correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds and is made by Allergan, the same makers of Botox.
- Restylane®: a non-animal, biodegradable gel composed of hyaluronic acid, Restylane is a soft tissue dermal filler that adds volume to the skin through tiny injections; smoothing facial folds and wrinkles in areas around the mouth and eyes.
- Radiesse®: a synthetic wrinkle filler made of calcium hydroxyapatite is utilized for the correction of moderate to severe wrinkles and folds. This injectable is a longer-lasting filler because the body forms collagen around the microspheres.

CO2RE Fractional Resurfacing
The CO2RE (by Candela) Carbon Dioxide (CO2) Fractional Laser Resurfacing removes layers of skin tissue in a fractionated method to help reduce age-spots, fine lines, wrinkles, scarring, uneven coloration, skin laxity, textural irregularities, dull tone, and a thinned collagen layer of the face, neck and chest.
Each year, hundreds of thousands of men and women choose blepharoplasty to improve the way they look by correcting droopy eyelids that can make you look older and impair vision. Blepharoplasty corrects these problems and also removes puffiness and bags under the eyes. This procedure cannot alter dark circles, fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes, nor can it change sagging eyebrows.
Though blepharoplasty is often performed as a single procedure, your surgeon may also recommend a browlift, facelift, or skin resurfacing to achieve the best results.
